About Us
At Healing Homes of Cenla, foster care isn’t just what we do—it’s who we are as a family.
I’m Jessica, and together with my husband, Billy, and our children—Joey, Addie, and Whitlee—we have made foster care a way of life. From late-night bottle feedings to cheering on milestones, every member of our family has a role to play in welcoming children into our hearts and our home.
For us, foster care is a ministry. It is how we live out the call of James 1:27—to care for orphans in their time of need. Each placement isn’t just a name or a case number; it’s a child who deserves safety, stability, and the love of a family.
Our kids know that when a child comes through our doors, it’s not just “Mom and Dad’s work.” It’s our family’s calling. Whether it’s sharing toys, making space at the dinner table, or praying together at bedtime, everyone plays a part in helping a child feel at home.
This personal commitment shapes everything we do at Healing Homes. We believe children thrive in family-style care surrounded by consistency, compassion, and Christ-centered love. By opening our family, we model the type of care we want Healing Homes to extend to every child who enters.
Healing Homes isn’t just an organization—it’s an extension of our family’s ministry. And we invite you to join us in creating places where hope truly lives here.
